MONO
Bakery Equipment
The core element of the company's business is
the design and manufacture of specialist equipment for the bakery, confectionery
and food service industries.
MONO Equipment
- the primary division of the business - has particular responsibilities for
the provision of machinery for the small and medium sized bakery sector and
for supermarket and in-store bakeries.
MONO pioneered the concept
of in-store bakeries, installing the first unit of this kind in the United
Kingdom in 1960 and since then the name MONO has become synonymous with this
type of installation.
MONO's constant vigilance
and attention to quality and detail has ensured that the company has maintained
its position as the leader in the field and a proactive development programme
is keeping MONO one step ahead of the rest of the industry.
With prestigious customers
such as Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's, Safeway and Tesco on the company's
client list MONO has established an enviable reputation for the consistency
of its products and more than 1,000 in store bakeries have been installed
to date.
This depth of in-store
baking experience is unparalleled and many MONO products have been designed
in partnership with clients in order to produce specialist equipment for a
particular market, minimizing costs and maximizing profit margins.
A key element of this
success has been gained as a direct result of our clients' confidence in MONO's
reputation and ability to maintain the confidentiality of development programmes
and marketing strategies, as well as the company's reliability at meeting
the tightest of deadlines.
MONO Foodservice Equipment
MONO's in house strategic
development team is always seeking ways in which to provide a broader service
to the industry. MONO Foodservice Equipment - has been established to service
the growing number of businesses that offer 'food on the move'.
In an industry that is
continually changing MONO has succeeded in maintaining its place at the forefront
of equipment development. It is this vigilance to the needs of the marketplace
that has led to the design and manufacture of a growing range of equipment
used in convenience retailing.
In expanding this range
of products MONO worked closely with a number of the major clients including
Marks & Spencer, Esso, Total, Moto and Cuisine De France to develop bake-off
and other foodservice equipment.
The new division brings
this particular expertise to catering specialists such as the hotelier, cafe
owner, motorway service operator, leisure site operator or convenience retailer
who wants to add that something extra - freshly baked bread, pies and pasties
and the enticing aroma that baking produces.
MONO's range of products
in the Foodservice division includes a range of bake-off ovens for bread,
pasties and savouries and the A La Carte - a mobile food service centre which
incorporates a bake-off oven, coffee machine and food display units.
